In 2006 we implemented our first recycling center in our Lakeland, FL distribution center. With this recycle center, we were now able to build loads of cardboard, various types of plastics, Styrofoam, and wood. In 2007, we then implemented these recycling centers into all of our large distribution centers. These successful implementations allowed Rooms To Go to make significant improvements in the overall recycling process of our distribution centers. In 2009, we added a recycling center in our new Pearl River, Louisiana distribution center which will again help RTG in our efforts to reduce the amount of material ending up in landfills. In March of 2010, when our newest distribution center opened in Katy, Texas, our recycling center was at the forefront helping to reduce our environmental foot print by making sure our cardboard, plastics, and styrofoam are being recycled. "We at Rooms To Go are proud of our continuing advancements in recycling. We are also proud of our corporate philosophy advocating the effects of recycling on our environment from the corporate level to the individual associate. Each can have a positive and sustainable impact on our environment." |
